About Course
Tawheed, or Monotheism, is the fundamental concept in Islam that emphasizes the oneness and uniqueness of Allah. It is the core belief that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, who is the sole creator, sustainer, and ruler of the universe. Tawheed is divided into three categories:
- Tawheed al-Rububiyyah (Oneness of Lordship): This aspect asserts that Allah alone is the creator, sustainer, and manager of all things. He controls everything that happens in the universe, from the movements of the planets to the growth of plants and the fate of humans.
- Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah (Oneness of Worship): This aspect focuses on the worship of Allah alone. Muslims are required to direct all acts of worship, such as prayers, supplications, and sacrifices, solely to Allah, without associating any partners with Him.
- Tawheed al-Asma wa Sifat (Oneness of Names and Attributes): This aspect affirms that Allah possesses the most beautiful names and perfect attributes, which are unique to Him. Muslims believe in and affirm all the names and attributes of Allah mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, without distorting, negating, or likening them to those of creation.
